Alright, another book to review! I received this book for Christmas, and it’s quickly become a favorite. The Ultimate Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook, by David Borgenicht, Joshua Piven and Ben H. Winters is another lighthearted but useful book. I wouldn’t personally rely on this book in a super dire situation, but it’s a very fun read. Some of the topics are about real life survival situations, such as being lost in a desert or the mountains, how to escape various wild animals like mountain lions or elephants, and basic skills like making a fire.
Other parts of the book however are much more lighthearted and fun, and include tips on things such as social media etiquette, surviving a honeymoon disaster, and how to avoid going to to the wrong college! The book is in black and white, with red sections to highlight important information. This is definitely a great coffee table book, as it’s bright yellow hardback cover stands out and makes passerby curious. As I mentioned above, I wouldn’t necessarily choose this book for a bug out bag type of resource, but it is still very entertaining to have around the house. The Ultimate Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook has earned a place in my survival library, however and I was very happy to have received the book as a gift! I recommend it to anyone who wants a book that is both fun and contains some useful information.
