iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket

Hey there boys and girls – have you ever thought about how important the humble bucket is?  Of course, they are ubiquitous in our homes and lives, but honestly a bucket has a ton of uses, whether conventional or otherwise.  That’s why I was excited when my friends at iRonsnow decided to send over a new product – the iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket.

The iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket is available in three very bright colors, orange, blue or yellow, and arrives neatly folded in a small portable carrying case.  The radius of the iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket is 12.6 inches and when it unfolds, it’s about 10 inches tall.  I was surprised how firm and nice the material of the bucket is – it’s a heavy Oxford material with PVC waterproof coating, similar to a higher end tarp to give you a tactile comparison.

The portability of the iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket makes it really shine, as you could easily transport it in your backpack without sacrificing much space or weight.  The bucket weighs only a few ounces, but it’s freaking strong!  In my video you can see me fill up the iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket with almost 4 gallons of water, and it held up fantastic.

You’ve got endless possibilities for uses of course with a bucket.  Need to gather some water from the nearby stream and haul it back to camp?  How about a storage device while you’re out foraging for berries or wild greens?  Did you catch a fish and need somewhere to hold him until  you head back to camp?  Then, when you’re all done with your outdoor activities this nifty iRonrain Collapsible Camping Bucket will just curl back up, you put it back in the pouch and you’re mobile!   Honestly I have never considered adding a bucket to my get home bag, but because this thing is so light weight I am going to be adding it to my supplies.  And a side bonus, it’s super bright orange so if you got lost you could stick it on the top of a tree to signal someone!  Although, your milage my vary 🙂
