Hello survivors! Today’s article gets a huge shout out to Deena Murray, who was kind enough to send me some Thrive Life Foods to sample and write about.   Please, support Deena if you are interested in these products.  You can reach her website here.

Before meeting Deena on Twitter, I was unaware of the Thrive Life Foods brand – but I am really glad we met because I am excited to share these awesome freeze dried foods with you!  First of all I have to say well done Thrive Life for making such awesome package design, these foods are in sleek modern packaging that really make them look appetizing before you even open them up!   Deena was kind enough to share with me the following samples of Thrive Life Foods:

  • freeze dried snackies:  pomegranate yogurt bites
  • freeze dried snackies:  very berry parfait
  • freeze dried snackies: sweet corn
  • freeze dried meal:  fettuccine Alfredo

What a great stash of loot!   From taking a quick look at the nutritional info on the Thrive Life Foods packages I got, I am pretty impressed.  Take the alfredo for instance, it’s got:

  • 4 servings @ 300 calories per serving = 1200 total calories in one package
  • 13g protein per serving
  • 41g carbs per serving
  • 9g fat per serving
  • 20% calcium per serving

Not a bad nutritional punch if you ask me!  The packages are all very light and the snack bags feature a zip top which allows you to preserve the contents for more than one eating session.   The alfredo package doesn’t have the zipper, but judging by it’s size I don’t think it would make sense to cook more than once.  The Thrive Life Foods packages are nice and light and wouldn’t burden your bug out bag’s weight restrictions very much.

I am excited about Thrive Life Foods now!  Looking at the catalog that was so graciously added into my care package, these guys have really done their homework and are offering a wide variety of foods!  They have everything from the very basics such as butter powder and dry yeast, to fully ready to eat breakfast foods like diced ham and eggs, to almost every fruit and vegetable you could want in a freeze dried form – not to mention they have SPICES!  I LOVE SPICES!!!!  This may not be the most current version of Thrive Life Foods catalog, but I wanted to include a PDF if you are interested in browsing their various food products.

Again, a huge thanks to Deena Murray, a Thrive Life Foods consultant!  If you are interested in these products please use her link to make your purchase!  Happy camping everyone!
