Sometimes in life there are things that are just super annoying.  Of of those things is going out to the garage on a beautiful day ready to go on a bicycle ride and seeing that your tires are flat!  Luckily I was able to do a test review on the AUDEW bike pump and I was pleasantly surprised.

Normally, I would just pump my tires up with an available air compressor, but it really got me to thinking while I was using the AUDEW bike pump:  what if there was no air compressor and I had to get out and moving on my bike!  It’s an awesome item to have in your preps because without it, flat tires are kind of something you are stuck with.

Anyway, on to the pump itself.  the AUDEW bike pump is no frills, but solidly built.  It’s got a steel shaft and piston, and a very easy to read pressure gauge that will tell you pressures up to 230 PSI.   The most impressive thing about this pump is that it  has dual valves.  While most bicycles in the US will use the Schrader style valve, there are also plenty of road bikes and European style bikes that utilize the Dunlop or Presta valve.  Luckily for you, this pump has both.  It’s easy enough to clamp on to your tire valve and pump up the tire to the recommended pressure with no sweat at all.

Included alongside the AUDEW bike pump is a small kit that contains 6 rubber tire patches and a small piece of sandpaper – should you ever be in a situation where you’ve punctured a tire, these patches can be easily applied to the tube to help get you back on the road.  The pump also features a needle for use in pumping up small items (like a soccer ball) and a red funnel you can use to blow air out of.

Overall, for the price it’s an excellent addition to your garage for when you need to get those tires pumped up!

AUDEW makes some cool products for your car and home – check out this car jumpstarter that I also reviewed from them.

Cheers!
