Hello boys and girls.  It’s been a minute since I made a new post on here, and for that I apologize but it’s now summer time and the sun in shining so I know a lot of you will be out in the great outdoors soon – and you might be in need of a good first aid kit for your camping, fishing and hiking!   So, I wanted to do a quick review today on the Total Resources International First Aid Kit (123) pieces.  I actually found this little pack at my local Wal Mart and was immediately interested by the cool looking green case.  The Total Resources International First Aid Kit is about the size of a mini football and for the price I paid I think it’s honestly one of the better small first aid kits available in terms of variety of items.

The first aid kit is separated into three nifty compartments, with the middle area holding most of the medications.  This is also nice because it can be removed from the bag via Velcro if you need something in a hurry.

Here’s the breakdown of the 123 piece Total Resources International First Aid Kit:

Total Resources International First Aid Kit  (123 piece)Contents

  • 12 alcohol prep pads-
  • 12 antiseptic towelettes-
  • 10 cotton tip applicators-
  • 2 finger splints-
  • 1 first aid instruction guide-
  • 2 examination gloves-
  • 2 safety pins-
  • 1 tweezers-
  • 3 insect repellent ointment-
  • 2 lip ointment-
  • 3 antibiotic ointment packets-
  • 3 burn packets-
  • 3 sunscreen lotions-
  • 3 sunscreen lotions-
  • 3 sting relief prep pads-
  • 4 aspirin tablets-
  • 4 non-aspirin tablets-
  • 2 electrolyte tablets-
  • 1 instant cold pack (5 inch x 6 inch)-
  • 5 adhesive bandages (1 inch x 3 inch)-
  • 15 adhesive bandages (3/8 inch x 1-1/2 inch)-
  • 15 adhesive bandages (3/4 inch x 3 inch)-
  • 5 butterfly closures-
  • 1 paper tape roll (.5 inch x 2.5yard)-
  • 4 sterile gauze pads (4 inch x 4 inch)-
  • 1 poison ivy cleaner-
  • 2 sterile gauze pads (4 inch x 4 inch)-
  • 1 sterile trauma pad (5 inch x 9 inch)-
  • 1 thermal blanket-
  • 1-12 hour bright stick-
  • 2 moleskin (2 inch x 2 inch)

For the price, I think it’s hard to beat the Total Resources International First Aid Kit in terms of what you get.  A lot of these first aid kits purchased from your local big box store don’t have items for bug and insect stings, as well as a larger trauma pad.  If you can pick one of these up, I highly recommend it for your next outdoor adventure!   Don’t be stuck up the river without a paddle – a first aid kit is important for any adventure or emergency.
