Are you brand new to gardening and not sure where to start?  Or, perhaps you’re a seasoned grower with a green thumb, but you want to stash away some extra crops for the future.  In either case, the Survival seed vault from My Patriot supply is an excellent option.  I’ve purchased several of these, and while one is in current use, the others have found their way to my freezer for safe keeping.

The thing I love the most about this survival seed vault is the price point.  It’s extremely reasonable for the amount of seed you get, which is quite a bit cheaper than going to a garden or big box store and purchasing individual packets of seed.  First of all, a lot of the seed packets you can purchase in stores are GMO seeds, which mean that any seeds collected from your crops are genetically modified so you can’t re plant them next year (and as such forcing you to go purchase more for the next season)  The My Patriot Supply survival seed vault features NON GMO heirloom seeds, which means you can collect seed from your harvest, dry them, and save them for next year!

The survival seed vault features 20 different varieties of vegetable seeds ( listed below)  Now, these are a great starter pack but I would suggest supplementing these seeds with other varieties if you’re really looking to have a diverse gardening ability.  But, for the price you really can’t beat what is being offered in this can o’ seeds.  Here’s the breakdown of what you get:

• Blue Lake Bush Beans
• California Wonder Bell Peppers
• Market more Cucumbers
• Scarlet Nantes Carrots
• Paris Island / Romaine Lettuce
• Golden Acre Cabbage
• Detroit Dark Red Beets
• Lincoln Sweet Peas
• Stowell’s Evergreen Sweet Corn
• Beefsteak Tomatoes
• Champion Radishes
• Green Sprouting Broccoli
• Waltham Butternut Winter Squash
• Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach
• Yellow Sweet Spanish Onion
• Black Turtle Beans
• Hales Best Cantaloupe
• Snowball Cauliflower
• Black Beauty Zucchini
• Crimson Sweet Watermelons

Of course, some of these seeds may need to be started indoors, depending on where you live.  For example here in Colorado it would be very difficult to get tomatoes started from seed outdoors in enough time for them to produce fruit, as our growing season can be cut short by late snows in the spring.  So, keep that in mind as you prepare your garden for 2017!  Again, I must say that for the price, it is hard to find a better starter level seed pack than this survival seed vault.  To learn more about the producer My Patriot Supply click here.  They also offer a variety of other seed vaults, from a salsa garden to medicinal herbs.  Check them out below!
