Survival Emergency Solutions workplace first aid kit

Hello there folks!   Today I wanted to do a review on an item I purchased via Lightning deal last month for the much anticipated (and much trolled) Prime Day 2018!  I am always on the lookout for a good deal, and I wanted to get a larger size first aid kit for our home so I was super lucky and came across the Survival Emergency Solutions workplace first aid kit.   This is the largest first aid kit I have reviewed for this site, but overall this item is very impressive and well built.

For starters, this thing is very well put together.  In terms of quality of the actual construction of the  kit I would say the Survival Emergency Solutions workplace first aid kit is unbeaten.  The actual kit itself is made of a very sturdy mesh type fabric which is water resistant, and features double stitched handles and very well made zipper functionality (I absolutely detest when an item has a crappy zipper on it)

The kit is also sneakily large once you actually unzip it to reveal the contents – it’s got three additional panels that unfold when you open it, creating a total of four distinctive sections that contain a variety of useful first aid items.  Another reason the Survival Emergency Solutions workplace first aid kit shines is that these sections are all clearly labeled and color coded, meaning that in an actual emergency when the user might be freaking out or hyperventilating, he or she can easily open up the pack and use the color guide to find the items in a jiffy.   The coloring codes are as follows:

  • Red for Trauma
  • Blue for Hygeine
  • Green for Information
  • Black for Utilities

In addition to the excellent color coding, the Survival Emergency Solutions workplace first aid kit also has a quantity recommendation for each item (ie there are four eye pads, three butterfly wound closures, and four sets of sterile gloves)  This is great to be able to keep a log of things that may have been used up and need to be replaced at a later date.  There’s also a little area inside of the kit to personalize it and put in additional items like medications.  Since this product is from Australia, it doesn’t come with any medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen like some of the kits available in the US do, however these are cheaply and easily added into the kit to round it out even more.   The kit does include a nice set of tweezers and shears, something that often times is not found in smaller first aid kits available locally.

Finally, as an added bonus the Survival Emergency Solutions workplace first aid kit has a full color “first aid in brief” guide that goes over basic first aid techniques for things such as shock, poisoning, or eye injuries.  This little booklet also contains the full contents list of the kit on the back cover.  The front cover features a QR code that you can download the first aid handbook to your phone for convenient digital access!  Well done guys!
